  1. ANNUAL CEREMONIAL REVIEW PARADE

 

Date:Saturday, June 9, 2018

Location:HMCS NONSUCH

Times:

  • Arrival at 08:00AM
  • Departure at 12:15PM
  • Parents and guest please arrive at 09:30AM and be seated no later than 9:45AM

 

Dress:Full ceremonial dress with tunics and medals (C-1)

Rations:​None provided. The parade will be done before lunch.

Other:

  • This is the most important mandatory parade of the year. ALL CADETS MUST ATTEND.
  • Our Reviewing Officer (RO) is LCol Heather Morrison, Commanding Officer, 1 Service Battalion.
  • Parents and family members are invited and strongly encouraged to attend.
  • The cadets will also be displaying projects that they have been working on to highlight all the training that was done this year.
  • Note that cadets also attending the banquet must be picked up and brought to the banquet separately. We will not be supervising cadets for the afternoon.

 

  1. ANNUAL CEREMONIAL REVIEW BANQUET

Date:​ Saturday, June 9, 2018

Location:St. Josephat Parish Hall (9637 – 108 Avenue NW)

Times:

  • Arrival at 5:30PM
  • Departure at 9:00PM

Dress:​ Full ceremonial dress or cadet mess dress (C-8)

Rations:​ Dinner is provided.

Other:

  • Our Guest of Honour is Ms. Diana Cretu from the Duke of Edinburgh Program.
  • This is mainly an awards banquet where trophies pins and other items are given out. We will also share a delicious dinner and wish each other well for the summer.
  • Parents and family members are invited and strongly encouraged to attend.
  • Cadets, remember to bring your ticket and get your $5 deposit back when you arrive.
  • Note that cadets also attending the parade must be picked up and brought to the banquet separately. We will not be supervising cadets for the afternoon.

 

  1. CHANGE OF COMMAND PARADE

Date:​ Tuesday, June 12, 2018

Location:HMCS NONSUCH

Times:

  • Arrival at 1820Hrs.
  • Departure at 2030Hrs. Earlier than normal dismissal.

Dress: ​Full ceremonial dress with tunics and medals (C-1)

Rations:​Coffee and refreshments will be served after the parade.

Other:

  • This parade will see the Squadron Commanding Officer Change from Major Duncan to Captain Pilkington.
  • Our Presiding Officer for this parade will be Major Cater who is the J3 OIC Northwestern.

 

  1. SUMMER CAMP BRIEFINGFOR ALL CADETS ATTENDING SUMMER TRAINING

Date:​ Tuesday, June 19, 2018

Location:​HMCS NONSUCH

Times:

  • Arrival at 6:30PM
  • Departure at 7:30PM

Dress:​Appropriate Civilian Attire

Rations:​None

  • This meeting is to distribute all the orders and forms needed for summer camp.
  • Attendance is mandatory for all cadets going to summer camp. Bringing a parent\guardian would be helpful

 From the 395 Squadron Parents’ Association

 

  1. The Parents have a fertilizer fundraiser for $25 for a 15 KG bag. Similar products retail for $35 a bag. See the chair of the 395 Parents’ Association, Michelle Hollik for details. Spring has sprung, so get it done!

 

  1. The next Bingo will be held on June 23rd. Please see the parents as volunteers are needed. Also, be aware that there are a few summer bingos that will require volunteers. Please check the google calendar for dates and times!
