Holiday Message to 395 Griffon Squadron Cadets, Staff, and Parents

As we come to the close of the first half of the cadet year, I want to take a moment to reflect on all the incredible dedication and hard work that has brought us to this point. This year has been filled with changes and challenges, but as a Squadron, we’ve adapted with resilience and a shared commitment to excellence.

To the cadets, your dedication to learning, enthusiasm, and engagement continue to impress. You embody the spirit of the Squadron, and it’s been incredible to see your progress and commitment to excellence.

To the senior cadets, your leadership, mentorship, and instruction have been outstanding. You have set an example for your peers, and your commitment to helping others grow is both commendable and inspiring.

To the Parents Committee and all the parents, your unwavering support has been instrumental. From behind-the-scenes organization to your presence at events, you have been the an important pillar of our success. Thank you for everything you do to ensure support the staff and our Squadron.

And To the staff, your leadership and guidance have been nothing short of exceptional. You’ve inspired and motivated our cadets, fostering an environment of learning and growth that reflects the highest standards of leadership.

As we pause for the holiday season, I want to acknowledge that this is a time for reflection. Whether you celebrate Christmas, another holiday, or simply take this as a moment to rest and recharge, this is an opportunity to look back on all we’ve accomplished and to set our sights on the exciting year ahead.

Looking forward to 2025, we are energized by the prospects for the second half of the cadet year. With continued training, new opportunities, and the unwavering dedication of everyone in the Squadron, I’m confident that the best is yet to come.

Wishing all of you a joyful holiday season, filled with warmth and gratitude, and a bright start to the new year. Thank you for your contributions to the success of 395 Griffon Squadron—your efforts make this an incredible community to be a part of.

COMMANDING OFFICER’S UPDATE

The training year is going by very fast so far. Supply has been very busy getting cadets into uniform with many more to go. Supply will come and get the cadets throughout the training night when uniforms are available and ready to be handed out. Each week a few more cadets are getting their uniforms.

We have had a very large influx of new cadets join the squadron. As such getting uniforms out to everyone is taking a little longer than anticipated. Please be patient, the Supply staff are working as fast as they can with the uniform items we have on hand and the ones we have ordered as well.

Please ensure you are checking the communication board inside the unit on a regular basis. Lists will be posted if we are needing to see any cadets for additional paperwork, important information is also posted there throughout the night for reference.
